Hole 18
A great finishing hole that requires precision to make a par. The tee shot should be aimed at the flag on the 9th green you can see from the tee. The left side of the fairway is the line as to the right is a steep bank and a pot bunker, any drive hitting this hill will come back making for a very long second. To the left is another fairway trap but less severe than the one to the right. Once on the fairway the hole turns to the right to a raised green. Again, more club is required than the yardage suggests. The green slopes significantly from right to left and a bank to the right of the green is the safe play as it can bounce the ball onto the putting surface. The left and back of the green are guarded by greenside bunkers. Save the best to last, or in the case of the putting surface, save the hardest to last. Anything putting down from above the hole is very treacherous, and some people have been seen to putt off the green into the bunker! Make a par here and it makes the drink on the terrace afterwards all that more rewarding.
