The St George's Cup was created with the aim of becoming the foremost International Invitational Club Tournament in the United Kingdom.
This web page has been set up to share details regarding the fourth running of the event, and provide participants with information to help them plan
their visit.
The 2025 event ran between Monday 14th & Tuesday & 15th of July, with practice rounds on Sunday 13th July.
24 clubs, from USA, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, Japan and the UK participated in the event.

2025 EVENT UPDATE
A fabulous few days again, with
Cordillera Ranch winning the fouth running of the St George's Cup, closely followed by
Conway Farms in second place, with
Beaverbrook third. The golf, whilst an important ingredient, is always enhanced by the conviviality and respect demonstrated by all participants.

Saturday 12th July
- Practice rounds available between 3:50-4:30pm on a roll-up basis.
Sunday 13th July
- from 11:00am Registration in the Clubhouse
- Practice rounds available from 11:30am on a roll-up basis. The Pro Shop staff will introduce you to your caddies and the Starter will get you onto the course.
- 6:30pm Pre dinner drinks in lounge/on terrace
- 7:00pm Informal reception and welcome dinner in the stretch tent
Monday 14th July
- 7:00am Breakfast at Hotel
- 7:30am Practice facility opens
- 8:25am Tee times (in 10 minute intervals) (18 holes)
- 12:45pm Rolling lunch in the stretch tent
- 2:00pm Tee times (in 10 minute intervals) (9 holes)
- 6:45pm Pre dinner drinks & canapes in lounge/on terrace
- 7:30
pm Formal Dinner (Jacket & optional Tie)
Tuesday 15th July
- 7:00am Breakfast at Hotel
- 7:30am Practice facilty opens
- 9:00am Shotgun start (18 holes)
- 2:00pm Luncheon in the stretch tent + Prize Giving
FORMAT
- The event will be a 45 hole team tournament and each team will comprise of 4 players.
- It is suggested that the maximum handicap index of the 4th player is 18.0. The lowest amateur will play off scratch (except for the Greensomes element) and at various points in the event, certain team members will play off scratch with them.
- The two 18 hole rounds will be better ball pairs (Playing Handicap = 85% decimalised Course Handicap for those playing in the nett elements) and the 9 hole round will be Greensomes (with all players subject to nett Playing Handicap calculations).
- The 4 man teams will be organised so that no 2 players in each team play together twice and no club will play with the same club more than once during the tournament.
Day 1 AM
18 holes 4BBB GROSS > 2 lowest handicaps
18 holes 4BBB NETT > 2 highest handicaps
Day 1 PM
9 holes Greensomes NETT > Lowest + Highest handicaps
9 holes Greensomes NETT > Middle two handicaps
Day 2 AM
18 holes 4BBB GROSS > Lowest & 3rd Highest
18 holes 4BBB NETT > 2nd Lowest & Highest
- The lowest gross score recorded by a pair, during 18 hole play, will win The Jeremy Lowe Salver.
- Individual or shared lockers will be made available for your use over the course of the event.
- Caddies will be organised for the 2 competition days and, on request, for your practice round.
- Please note. St George's Hill is a walking course and we do not allow buggies.
ACCOMMODATION
For 2025, our Hotel Partner will again be
The Brookland Hotel. Rooms must be booked by participants, directly with the hotel and a discount code is available to allocate a 20% discount against the hotel's best rate for your stay. We have also negotiated the discounted rate for shoulder nights should
you wish to stay longer than just the Sunday and Monday nights. Bookings from the Friday through to the Wednesday will all qualify for the discount.
The minimum length of stay for the voucher code to work is two nights, and these must be the Sunday and Monday nights.
