The St George's Cup

International Invitational Club Tournament

Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th July 2024

New friendships forged and old ones re-kindled.  So much more than just a golf tournament.

A very warm welcome....

The St George's Cup was created with the aim of becoming the foremost International Invitational Club Tournament in the United Kingdom.

The inagural event in 2022 was a fabulous success, with the team from Pine Tree (Boynton Beach, Florida), winning the Cup, with some seriously impressive golf, including a gross 63 better ball on day one.

This web page has been set up to share details regarding the third running of the event, and provide participants with information to help them plan their visit.

This year's event is running between Monday 15th & Tuesday & 16th of July, with practice tees available on Sunday 14th July.

24 clubs, from USA, Australia, South Africa, Switzerland, Ireland and the UK will participate in the event.

Saturday 13th July
- Practice rounds available between 15:50-17:00 on a roll-up basis.

Sunday 14th July
- Practice rounds available after 11:00am on a roll-up basis, after Tournament Registration.  Please report to the Pro Shop on arrival.
- 6:00pm Informal reception and welcome dinner in the stretch tent

Monday 15th July
- 7:00am Breakfast at Hotel
- 7:30am Practice facility opens
- 8:45am Tee times (in 10 minute intervals) (18 holes)
- 1:00pm Rolling lunch in the stretch tent
- 2:00pm  Tee times (in 10 minute intervals) (9 holes)
- 7:00pm  Formal Dinner (Jacket & Tie)

Tuesday 16th July
- 7:00am  Breakfast at Hotel
- 7:30am  Practice facilty opens
- 9:00am  Shotgun start (18 holes)
- 2:00pm  Luncheon in the stretch tent + Prize Giving

FORMAT (may be subject to slight change, and focus on nett scoring for the 2024 event)
- The event will be a 45 hole team tournament and each team will comprise of 4 players, 3 or whom will need to have a single digit handicap.
- The maximum handicap of the 4th player will be 18.   The lowest amateur will play off scratch - and, at various points in the event, the other team members will play off scratch with them.
- The two 18 hole rounds will be better ball pairs and the 9 hole round will be greensomes.
- The 4 man teams will be organised so that no 2 players in each team play twice together and no club will play with the same club more than once during the tournament.
- The lowest score recorded by a pair, during 18 hole play, will win The Jeremy Lowe Salver.
- Shared lockers will be made available for your use over the course of the event.
- Caddies will be organised at a cost of £150 per day for the 2 competition days (payable directly to your caddy).  If you require a caddy for your
practice round, this can also be arranged on request. 
- Please note.  St George's Hill is a walking course and we do not allow buggies.


For 2024, our Hotel Partner will again be The Brookland Hotel. Rooms must be booked by participants, directly with the hotel and a discount code is available to allocate a 20% discount against the hotel's best rate for your stay. We have also negotiated the discounted rate for shoulder nights should
you wish to stay longer than just the Sunday and Monday nights. Bookings from the Friday through to the Wednesday will all qualify for the discount.
The minimum length of stay for the voucher code to work is two nights, and these must be the Sunday and Monday nights.
